Are you the parent of a child who readily joins activity groups, participates in sports programs, and completes all the tasks required by his teacher, but never seems to be the one who stands out? He is never the one who gets that extra nod of attention, or receives recognition or awards for being outstanding in whatever situation he is in. You know he is bright, puts his best effort forward in everything he does and by all accounts does fine, but each time seems to be out shined by those few children that excel at everything they attempt. Have you found yourself wondering why your child doesn’t seem to have that little extra edge that those that excel have that makes them just a bit more aggressive on the basketball court, or just a bit more “polished” when they give an oral presentation in class? What do these children possess that your child doesn’t? The answer is “self-esteem.” So you say, “Okay, that’s easy…I just need to tell him more often how great I think he is and reassure him of how smart and talented I know he is!” Raising your child’s self-esteem is not a simple, one answer fix. Building healthy self-esteem is a process. It is a process that will grow and expand over time. You are right, however, in realizing that it is something that starts with you, his parent. The process can begin at anytime in your child’s life. Of course, it is easier to start when they are very young, but building self-esteem can begin at any point in their lives. Regardless of when it is started, the process is the same. You, the parent, need to start by having an understanding of the principles of the law of attraction. If you are not familiar with the law of attraction, there are shelves and shelves in every bookstore with numerous books and programs explaining the Universal law of attraction. I recommend choosing one that appeals to you. Parenting using the law of attraction is based on the universal law that states what you think and believe you will create as your reality. So, the first task at hand is to help your child understand this law and how it works. The basic premise you need to convey is that everything begins as a thought. Your child needs to understand the importance of his thoughts. Example: Negative thought: “I hope I can get the ball and make a basket at the game today.” Positive thought: “I am going to score five baskets today!” This example demonstrates the difference between wanting to succeed and believing you will succeed. The point is to encourage your child to think about himself and his capabilities in a positive way. This can not be done by simply sharing your opinion of how wonderful he is. He knows how much you love him! Unfortunately, in his eyes, the fact that you love him will lower the credibility of your words! That is not to say you should ever stop praising and showering your child with encouragement. Your child, however, needs more than the opinion of someone he knows loves him to gain the kind of confidence that will allow him to reach his full potential. The second part of this process is designed to help your child understand that what happens in his life is within HIS power. The law of attraction teaches us that we all have the power within us to control what thoughts we will accept and focus on and which ones we will reject. The thoughts we choose are the thoughts that will determine what IS. Helping your child repeat this “positive mindset” exercise will help him develop the skill to think only positive thoughts and as he sees the positive results from these choices, he will know that he can accomplish whatever he wants to. He will now have “confidence” in his abilities in whatever situation he faces. The absolute beauty of the law of attraction is that it works all of the time for everyone. There are no conditions to be met for the principles to occur in your life. Whether you believe it or accept it or even completely understand it, it IS working. It will work against us by thinking negative thoughts and it will work for us by thinking positive thoughts. Your role as the parent is to teach your child how to use his power to CHOOSE what his thoughts will be. The only difference between your child and those that have that edge to succeed is not that they are brighter, smarter, or more talented… the difference is they BELIEVE they can do whatever they choose to do. Since the vastly popular movie, The Secret burst onto the scene a few years ago, millions of people everywhere have been trying to figure out how to use this “Law of Attraction” thing to manifest more prosperity, love and success into their lives.  Many watched Oprah’s shows featuring several individuals who used this “Law” to totally transform their lives.  The problem was that many of these viewers became frustrated when it they couldn’t figure out how to use the Law of Attraction and did not have the same results as those featured in the movie and on Oprah.  Ultimately many dismissed it as just “wishful thinking.” What most seekers don’t understand is that they are already using the Law of Attraction.  Unfortunately, most are using it unconsciously and attracting everything they don’t want.  Even techniques taught in The Secret (like repeating positive affirmations and visualizing prosperity) don’t seem to be bringing you the prosperity, success, or love that you really want.  Is this happening to you?   Or, maybe you’ve got the Law of Attraction thing down. You understand how it works and have perhaps manifested some small blessing in your life.  Still, you wonder why you keep experiencing the same challenges over and over in that “problematic” area of your life. Let’s explore why that might be, and learn how you can utilize this powerful force to attract what you do want…in every area of your life. In science, the law of attraction refers to a chemical affinity or a physical condition where “like attracts like.”  Not unlike the laws of physical science, the law of attraction is very real and works in our experience exactly the same way.  How?  Well, because the universe is fundamentally energy.  We are, therefore, fundamentally energy and our thoughts are fundamentally energy.  Our predominate thoughts and our “emotionally charged” thoughts actually emit frequencies science can measure.  These frequencies attract like experience in our outer world.  It’s all energy.  One is the inner, the other is the outer. You are, therefore, attracting to yourself in physical form and experience the vibrational equivalent of your beliefs.  Your present “reality” is comprised of your beliefs “in form.”  There’s a catch here however…something most who teach about the Law of Attraction don’t talk about … There is not sufficient energy in your occasional beliefs, your repeated affirmations, or what you are picturing during visualization to manifest as form in your experience.  There simply isn’t.  What does have the energy to manifest are your deeply held beliefs…and they do.  You are attracting into your life experiences and conditions that match your deeply held “core beliefs.”  Techniques such as repeating positive affirmations or visualization do not, on their own, transform these core beliefs.   What do I mean by deeply held core beliefs?  I mean your personal world view — which you keep alive by your attitudes and perceptions as you interact with the world.  Some examples might be: “The only truly wealthy people are those born into it.” Or, “It’s only who you know that matters.” Or, “The older you get the harder it is to find true love.”  Or, “You’ve got to be really smart or clever to earn lots of money (and I’m not).”  Or, “All good things come to an end.” These are not conscious beliefs, mind you. They live in the dark recesses of your subconscious.  Compounding the problem is that we live in a world that continually tells us we are limited, that there’s not enough to go around and that we are victims of fate and at the mercy of an unkind world.  Discovering and transforming these limiting core beliefs is absolutely essential if you want to manifest a more expansive and abundant life. The good news is that you can do it.  This is totally in your power. The reality is that it takes some work.  However, I’ve come up with a 3-step plan that will make that “work” a little easier…and very effective. Practice these three keys and watch as the floodgates open and an abundance of love, joy, prosperity and success pours into your life.   Then, you’ll be the one on Oprah sharing with the world how you’ve applied the Law of Attraction and are now experiencing the manifestation of limitless good in your life.   Many blessings. When you decide to do something, one thing comes up immediately. It is the expectation of the result from your actions. There are only two alternatives here. It is either you get the result you want or you fail to get it. The law of attraction has been known for years for being one of the secrets to success in life. This article is about how to use law of attraction to prevent failure in your life.
The Law of attraction states that you can attract good things into your life by your good thinking. It can be other way around with bad things and bad thinking. To make use of the law of attraction is to think correctly. The following steps are to train your mind to think systematically. This is one of the ways to use the law of attraction. Then we go into the actions of planning and implementing. We then exercise the law by visualization. The steps to prevent failure include:
1. Change the definition of failure.
Before we go further on how to prevent failure, we should first go to the definition of failure. Longman dictionary gives to definitions of failure as the lack of Success, things that fail, non-performance or non-production of something, inability of a business to continue.
These definitions are somehow easy to understand as standard definition. This is why most people are afraid of failure. Failure is viewed as intimidated force to destroy our confidence. A lot of people have so much fear of failure that they dare not to set up their goals or try anything new. We need to change that. We need to understand that success and failure come together. All successful people understand this. They do not fear of failure. Failure is the stepping stones to success. You can have many stepping stones. You need to treat failure as one of the element to succeed. Every time you meet failure, just tell yourself that you are one step closer to your success.
2. Determine that you are going to succeed.
Having the right mindset on your determination is another key factor. You need to decide that you want the result no matter what. You have to determine the price you need to pay before you make the decision. Once you are sure, go for it. You need to go all the way until you succeed. In order to be able to do that, you need to have a firm commitment to yourself. You need to determine that you are going to succeed and you are ready to do what it takes.
3. Be clear on your goals.
You need to know exactly what you want in your actions. What are your goals and why you want them? What are the benefits of achieving your goals? What will happen if you don’t achieve them? All these questions need to be answered before you start. Most people are not clear on what they want because they have not made the decision. This is why the majority of the people in the society do not succeed in fully utilizing their capacity. You don’t have to be one of them. Once you are clear on your goal, you can proceed without any equivocal hesitation on your mind.
4. Set up your plan. Break down your plan into small plan.
You need to have the action plan in your steps. Make the big picture plan and break it down into small plans. The small plans are for seeing your progress and you can celebrate when you achieve these small goals. Planning is essential to your action so do not neglect it.
5. Take massive actions and evaluate them along the way.
You can not succeed without doing something. You need to take actions. You need to take more of the right actions in order to enjoy more fruitful results. In addition, you need to evaluate yourself along the way. You need to see if there anything to be improved. Is your current approach is correct? Are you on the right track? All these evaluations will help you to align your actions until you get to your goals.
6. Visualize your way to succeed.
Visualization is the most effective way to use the law of attraction. It will stimulate your subconscious mind. The mind will attract all circumstances and attributes favorable to what you visualized. You can do it by visualizing that you are getting what you want as if it is happening in front of you. You can feel it and have that feeling penetrate into your mind. You can use background audio to enhance your visualization power. The one undeniable aspect of the “Law of Attraction” is that you always get what you are thinking about. Knowing this is the key to making it work for you.

I have been working with the “Law of Manifesting” for the last seven years and discovering how it works. Both of these laws work the same. They are both put into action by your thoughts – thought is the trigger, the key that turns on the whole process. If you are thinking “I can’t make this work,” not working is what you must be experiencing. If you have lived your life in poverty and lack, then your inherent thoughts are going to be of poverty and lack – you will think as a poor person, and poverty will be your experience.

If you have been a chronically ill person all your life, then illness is your constant companion and illness is what you will always experience. If your thoughts are not in harmony with what you wish, you will not experience your true desires. Thoughts of violence are followed by a life of experiencing violence, and until your thoughts change, and you think of only peace, nothing is going to change.

You cannot experience abundance or being rich until you think like a rich person with abundance – then abundance and the experience of being rich follows.

You cannot experience being healthy, until all your thoughts are about good health. This does not mean that thinking about getting healthy is going to work. You will only experience thinking about getting healthy, and you will continue to experience illness. If you know yourself as being ill – that is what you will experience. If you are thinking you don’t want to be ill, you are still thinking about being ill.

Concentrate on good health, not what you are already experiencing. Lie to yourself until you believe the lie. “I am in perfect health” and it is what I want to experience in my life. However, the moment your thoughts bring up your present illness – it is what you will experience.

If you have lived a live of poverty, all your thoughts are going to be about poverty – about not spending money, or not having any to spend, and not having enough. Everything you do will be determined by money, i.e., “I can’t afford to do this or that.” “I will never have this, I will always be poor,” I can’t seem to save or get ahead.

To start, hang on to your next nickel and know it as abundance. It may only be a nickel, but it is still abundance. Know that you have it and it will grow – you can see it and feel it. And if it is abundance, then you are rich. You cannot experience being a rich person if you do not think as one. Lie to yourself if you have to, know that you are rich – start to think as one who is rich and eventually you will experience being rich. If you think as a poor man trying to get rich, that is what you will experience. A rich man doesn’t count his money, he knows he has enough. A poor man is always counting his money and knows he doesn’t have enough.

A rich man does what he wants and knows his money is there, a poor man knows that it is not. A rich man does not keep his money in his wallet. He knows he has access to it. Abundance does not have to be in your wallet. If you know that it will be there when you want it – that is what you will experience. You do not have to keep a mountain of money under your mattress; all you need to know is that it will be there when you want it. You will attract to you what you need in the moment. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can attract the money to you when you want it – you don’t have to keep records or bank accounts – no one can steal it from you?

Why are hypochondriacs always sick – because they can? Doesn’t it follow that if you can make yourself sick, you can keep yourself well? I lived with one, and I know how it works. I also healed myself of a crippling childhood disease and healed myself before anyone decided to operate on me. I was declared a miracle child and the first ever to overcome this disease without surgery. The healing came from knowing – not from knowing I was going to get better, but from knowing I already was. But the real miracle was from removing myself as a six year old from a household in turmoil, to a safe place of temporary refuge. I created an illness to protect myself and then I healed myself when it was safe to return.

If you would take the time to have a look at your present situation, the people, and circumstances of how you live, and interact with others – you will find your story. You cannot run or hide from yourself. Everything you are experiencing now, you have created. They are manifestations of your own thoughts about yourself, others and your environment.

You may say, “I didn’t want this or that,” but by thinking that you didn’t want it you have given energy to it and created it. By thinking, I don’t want to be poor, I don’t want to be sick, I don’t want this relationship – you are creating it, because you are thinking about it and why you don’t want it. You could be spending your time thinking about what you do want – that is where you need to focus your thoughts and your energy in order to create what you desire.

More than likely most of you will not manifest what you truly want to experience because you don’t really know what you do want – few of us do. You will not be able to manifest it because you are not clear about what you want. You may say I want $5,000,000, and I will be happy. Think about this – what is it that you really want, happiness or $5,000,000. You may get the five million but will you be happy? You may get terminal cancer just before you cash the cheque. Your thoughts about happiness will not manifest, because you are focused on the money and not a total holistic picture of how you are or what you want.

For most of us, our past will interfere with how we manifest our future. We have bought into the old ideas given us by our parents and society, and we believe them. You may have decades of old habits and believes that you will have to overcome before you can effectively manifest what you desire. The first step comes from a desire to change your thinking, to get out of the box. You may have to take small steps, lie to yourself for awhile, and do affirmations – whatever it takes to change your thought process.

When you begin to think as a rich person, you will experience wealth. When you begin to think as one who is whole you will begin to experience good health. When you begin to think happy, you will experience happiness. It is the “law of attraction” and the “law of expectation,” that creates. It is your thoughts which trigger them. The universe is impartial and non-judgmental; it cannot turn you down for any reason. When you test the law of gravity and jump off a 20 story building; the law works for you whether you are good or bad, worthy or unworthy. And so do all natural laws.

If what you are experiencing in your life has given you “all” that you desire, then good for you. I would ask you why you are reading this. It was your thought which brought you to this article. You are missing something, and if you are denying it at this moment, you will have a pretty good idea why your life is the way it is now, and why the law of attraction haven’t worked fully for you.
