Learning how to use the law of attraction to begin manifesting more of what you want in life can seem like a very complicated thing to the beginner. If you are new to the law of attraction and to the idea of being able to manifest the things that you want, then there are some important things that you need to know.So, what are these things?1. The law of attraction is not magical or wishful thinking. Some people like to sell this idea, but in truth, there is a lot more practicality to the entire process. Continue Reading »The one undeniable aspect of the “Law of Attraction” is that you always get what you are thinking about. Knowing this is the key to making it work for you.
I have been working with the “Law of Manifesting” for the last seven years and discovering how it works. Both of these laws work the same. They are both put into action by your thoughts – thought is the trigger, the key that turns on the whole process. If you are thinking “I can’t make this work,” not working is what you must be experiencing. If you have lived your life in poverty and lack, then your inherent thoughts are going to be of poverty and lack – you will think as a poor person, and poverty will be your experience.
If you have been a chronically ill person all your life, then illness is your constant companion and illness is what you will always experience. If your thoughts are not in harmony with what you wish, you will not experience your true desires. Thoughts of violence are followed by a life of experiencing violence, and until your thoughts change, and you think of only peace, nothing is going to change.
You cannot experience abundance or being rich until you think like a rich person with abundance – then abundance and the experience of being rich follows.
You cannot experience being healthy, until all your thoughts are about good health. This does not mean that thinking about getting healthy is going to work. You will only experience thinking about getting healthy, and you will continue to experience illness. If you know yourself as being ill – that is what you will experience. If you are thinking you don’t want to be ill, you are still thinking about being ill.
Concentrate on good health, not what you are already experiencing. Lie to yourself until you believe the lie. “I am in perfect health” and it is what I want to experience in my life. However, the moment your thoughts bring up your present illness – it is what you will experience.
If you have lived a live of poverty, all your thoughts are going to be about poverty – about not spending money, or not having any to spend, and not having enough. Everything you do will be determined by money, i.e., “I can’t afford to do this or that.” “I will never have this, I will always be poor,” I can’t seem to save or get ahead.
To start, hang on to your next nickel and know it as abundance. It may only be a nickel, but it is still abundance. Know that you have it and it will grow – you can see it and feel it. And if it is abundance, then you are rich. You cannot experience being a rich person if you do not think as one. Lie to yourself if you have to, know that you are rich – start to think as one who is rich and eventually you will experience being rich. If you think as a poor man trying to get rich, that is what you will experience. A rich man doesn’t count his money, he knows he has enough. A poor man is always counting his money and knows he doesn’t have enough.
A rich man does what he wants and knows his money is there, a poor man knows that it is not. A rich man does not keep his money in his wallet. He knows he has access to it. Abundance does not have to be in your wallet. If you know that it will be there when you want it – that is what you will experience. You do not have to keep a mountain of money under your mattress; all you need to know is that it will be there when you want it. You will attract to you what you need in the moment. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can attract the money to you when you want it – you don’t have to keep records or bank accounts – no one can steal it from you?
Why are hypochondriacs always sick – because they can? Doesn’t it follow that if you can make yourself sick, you can keep yourself well? I lived with one, and I know how it works. I also healed myself of a crippling childhood disease and healed myself before anyone decided to operate on me. I was declared a miracle child and the first ever to overcome this disease without surgery. The healing came from knowing – not from knowing I was going to get better, but from knowing I already was. But the real miracle was from removing myself as a six year old from a household in turmoil, to a safe place of temporary refuge. I created an illness to protect myself and then I healed myself when it was safe to return.
If you would take the time to have a look at your present situation, the people, and circumstances of how you live, and interact with others – you will find your story. You cannot run or hide from yourself. Everything you are experiencing now, you have created. They are manifestations of your own thoughts about yourself, others and your environment.
You may say, “I didn’t want this or that,” but by thinking that you didn’t want it you have given energy to it and created it. By thinking, I don’t want to be poor, I don’t want to be sick, I don’t want this relationship – you are creating it, because you are thinking about it and why you don’t want it. You could be spending your time thinking about what you do want – that is where you need to focus your thoughts and your energy in order to create what you desire.
More than likely most of you will not manifest what you truly want to experience because you don’t really know what you do want – few of us do. You will not be able to manifest it because you are not clear about what you want. You may say I want $5,000,000, and I will be happy. Think about this – what is it that you really want, happiness or $5,000,000. You may get the five million but will you be happy? You may get terminal cancer just before you cash the cheque. Your thoughts about happiness will not manifest, because you are focused on the money and not a total holistic picture of how you are or what you want.
For most of us, our past will interfere with how we manifest our future. We have bought into the old ideas given us by our parents and society, and we believe them. You may have decades of old habits and believes that you will have to overcome before you can effectively manifest what you desire. The first step comes from a desire to change your thinking, to get out of the box. You may have to take small steps, lie to yourself for awhile, and do affirmations – whatever it takes to change your thought process.
When you begin to think as a rich person, you will experience wealth. When you begin to think as one who is whole you will begin to experience good health. When you begin to think happy, you will experience happiness. It is the “law of attraction” and the “law of expectation,” that creates. It is your thoughts which trigger them. The universe is impartial and non-judgmental; it cannot turn you down for any reason. When you test the law of gravity and jump off a 20 story building; the law works for you whether you are good or bad, worthy or unworthy. And so do all natural laws.
If what you are experiencing in your life has given you “all” that you desire, then good for you. I would ask you why you are reading this. It was your thought which brought you to this article. You are missing something, and if you are denying it at this moment, you will have a pretty good idea why your life is the way it is now, and why the law of attraction haven’t worked fully for you.

If you believe the universe will serve your desires on a platter while you lie on a couch watching tv and ‘dreaming’ of the things you want and that they will be delivered to your door five seconds after you think of it, you need to think again. If you think that the world is going to change while you make no effort then you’ll need to re-think your approch to using the law of attraction. These are some of the common mistakes people make when trying to make the law work for them. Lets have a look at some others mistakes that can hinder the working of the law;
Mistake #1: All you have to do is think positive and what you want will occur.
Positive thinking occurs only on the conscious level; this is why positive thinking is not enough to put into effect the law of attraction. Belief and faith also need to be present in the unconscious mind
The mind is always operating on two levels, the subconscious and the conscious. Our conscious faculties are bombarded by hundreds of pieces of data at any moment from the five senses. This is a huge amount of information to transact and absorb, even with such an advanced tool as the human brain. Our minds would slowly turn into a sticky swamp if they were dealing with every single piece of information all of the time.
Instead, we developed the conscious mind, which serves as a filter to review the information sent to it by the senses and retain anything that it deems to be of interest. Anything that it does not consider important is passed along to the unconscious mind. It is the subconscious which retains the information, acting as the guardian of hidden memories until such time as those memories are needed again.
Mistake #2: Impatience
The cosmos works at its own speed; remember, every action carries with it an equal and opposite reaction. It is essential that all environmental conditions be right in order for an event to occur just as it should.
This means that the law of attraction may take weeks, months or even years to produce the desired outcome for a single individual. People of today’s society are spoiled; they want what they want and they want it now! A theory that does not deliver instant fulfillment will not be received with a great deal of favor.
In addition to that, casting out the law of attraction because it does not meet your established timetables (after all, it never says precisely when all of these wonderful rewards will come about, only that they will) is a direct violation of the guidelines required to obtain positive results. You might have been merely testing the law up to now in order to see if it will produce results; if you were confident in its ability to produce the desired results you would be content to sit and wait, knowing that what you want most will come to you in time.
On the other hand, if you are impatient, it indicates that you have no confidence in the ability of the law to bring about the desired outcomes. This means that somewhere in your being is a kernel of negative energy, sufficient to throw a monkey wrench into the whole process of positive attraction. Remember, if you are vibrating negative energy you will attract negative energy back onto yourself.
Mistake #3: Pre-determining when you will get what you want
Let the universe do the work! It is possible to become so focused on what you think is going to happen that you manage to totally miss the event when it occurs if it does not occur in precisely the manner you pictured it would.
As we said before, the cosmos will choose its own time and place for all things to happen, and these events may take place through unknown means. By predetermining precisely how you will receive the rewards which you are seeking, you are taking away the alternatives from the hands of nature, which directs the ebb and flow of the energies of life. You are setting yourself up for a hard fall.
By setting your own time-line for events to occur you will eventually come to disbelieve in the law of attraction (after all, it didn’t do what it was supposed to, did it?), this will cause your unconscious mind to radiate the negative energy which will drive the positive energy away.
Mistake#4 Being led by your emotional responses
In order to reap the greatest advantage of the law of attraction you need to understand that what you see now is a result of what you have been attracting up to this point; again, it is essential that you realize that what has happened in your life to this date and what will happen later on is determined by you and how you think about it. Whatever successes or failures you have experienced have been the result of the energies that your mind and body have released into the universe.
It is very easy to look at the events of your life and think, “I certainly didn’t want ‘that’ to happen; the law of attraction must be untrue because I would never wish for something so awful.” What you have to realize is that it is not always what your conscious mind wishes for that influences what your subconscious mind is projecting.
Which leads us to the fifth most common mistake
Mistake #5: Hanging onto long held beliefs
Many times people descend into a self defeating cycle because they are unaware of and unable to control the thoughts and attitudes of their subconscious mind .
It is those who have dared to see their inner world differently, who have believed in the possibilities offered by lofty ideals, who have effected the greatest changes in the world. Do you think that if the colonists had really believed that they would never be free of the British they would have been able to win the revolutionary war? If Henry Ford had not truly believed that man could ride in a car, do you think that the Model T could have been invented? If women really believed that they were destined to live the rest of their life under the thumb of their fathers and husbands, with no say in the lives they would leave, that women’s liberation would have occurred?
The eradication of limiting beliefs such as these is vital to allowing the law of attraction to work as it is intended to. If you truly feel that the law is not working for you, take a second to contemplate the things that you are wishing for. Do you really believe that these events can take place, or are you merely making idle wishes? Do you secretly believe that you have a ‘one in a million’ chance of any of those things actually happening?
In order to project the vibrations which are necessary to draw the energies of the universe to you it is crucial that you be one hundred percent confidant in your ability to effect a change and be willing to believe that all of the events occurring up to that point have been a necessary prerequisite to bringing these events to be.

Using the law of attraction can seem a bit tricky at first as a lot of the principles and the methods to use the law of attraction are counter to what it is that we have been taught and what we think we know about how things work. After all, we spend so much time being taught that there is a certain path that we must take in order to achieve success, when in reality, there are many different paths that you can choose. Here are a couple of Manifesting Tips that can help you out: 1. Know what your specific outcome is that you want to manifest. The more detailed and specific that you can be about what it is that you would like to attract into your life, the better off you will be. After all, a master architect still needs to know what he or she is building no matter how talented they may be. 2. Gain inspired ideas from others. No, I don’t mean for you to outright copy other people. But read and learn about people that have come up with great ideas and who have achieved success against the odds. It can be very contagious when you start to surround yourself with this kind of inspiration. 3. Follow your bliss. You have probably heard this one many times before. But, it is imperative that you follow your heart and do something that you love. After all, what good is success and money if you are unable to enjoy these things because you hate what you are doing?
